Preparing for Your Audition

Please learn Palestrina's Sicut Cervus, the link is found below.

Choose the part that fits your voice best.

You may give yourself the starting pitch with a tuning fork or piano/keyboard.
You will perform the excerpt unaccompanied, and you may set your own tempo.

  • Soprano: learn mm. 4-39.
  • Alto: learn mm. 3-40.
  • Tenor: learn mm. 1-36.
  • Bass: learn mm. 6-44

During your audition, you will also be asked to sight-read and do tonal memory games.
