Any UM student can join a choir for credit, and there are groups for every level of singing experience.
All Classical Voice Majors and Principles who have ensemble requirements must complete a Choral Hearing. This allows us to assess and place you in whichever choir(s) you will be most successful. Please complete a Choral Hearing, even if you are hoping to be in Symphonic.
These ensembles require a hearing:
- Frost Chorale, MVP 185/785*- Mon./Wed./Fri. 10:10-12:05 p.m.
- Bella Voce, MVP 148/748*- Tues./Thurs. 3:30-4:45 p.m.
- Chamber Singers, MVP 184/784*- Tues./Thurs. 12:30-1:45 p.m.
This ensemble does NOT require a hearing:
- Symphonic Choir, MVP 180/780 - Tues/Thurs 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
