Auditions

Auditions for the choirs are held at the opening and close of each year and by appointment at the start of the spring semester. 

All students should register for MVP 101 Ensemble Placeholder, and we will place you into the correct ensemble after the audition.

Choral Hearings for Spring 2024

Choral hearings for Spring 2024 will be held on Friday, December 1, in PLF 129N.

Audition Sign-Up

Ensembles

Any UM student can join a choir for credit, and there are groups for every level of singing experience.

These ensembles require a hearing:
  • Frost Chorale, MVP 185/785*- Mon./Wed./Fri. 10:10-12:05 p.m.
  • Bella Voce, MVP 148/748*- Tues./Thurs. 3:30-4:45 p.m.
  • Chamber Singers, MVP 184/784*- Tues./Thurs. 12:30-1:45 p.m.
This ensemble does NOT require a hearing:
  • Symphonic Choir, MVP 180/780 - Tues/Thurs 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

*To register for ensembles that require an audition, please initially register for MVP 101 Placeholder.
